Accessibility Commitment

Effective date: 1 October 2026. SalamaGreen is committed to making its digital services usable by as many people as reasonably possible, including people with disabilities. Current work is practical and ongoing. We do not represent that the apps currently conform in full to any accessibility standard.

What we provide today

  • The Salama Driver app uses a colour palette designed to meet WCAG 2.1 AA text-contrast requirements, and automated contrast testing is maintained in the codebase.
  • The Salama Driver app respects a device's reduced-motion setting on the sign-in screen and home-screen photo carousel.
  • The Salama Driver app is available in English and Kiswahili, with language switching in the app.
  • Some individual components include accessibility or screen-reader labelling.

What we do not claim today

  • We have not completed a full screen-reader labelling pass across either app.
  • Neither app has undergone a formal independent accessibility audit or VPAT-style conformance assessment.
  • The Salama Operator app has not yet undergone dedicated accessibility work.
  • We have not integrated the platforms with direct IoT devices.

Ongoing target

Our accessibility target is to work toward WCAG 2.1 AA for the SalamaGreen mobile experience. Progress may be staged, and particular screens or third-party services may not immediately meet every criterion.

Feedback

If you encounter an accessibility barrier, contact support@getsalamagreen.com. Describe the screen or feature and, where possible, the device and operating-system version. We will review feedback and consider reasonable improvements consistent with the nature of the service, technical feasibility, and applicable law.
